Glory

Long live the king if he doesn't flee
From the last much respected majesty
And I wouldn't dare to try to predict
Whether the firm will maintain its grip

Delightful attention to details made
An awesome service and splendid parade
Inclusive international greetings
And cleverly synchronised police beatings

There were glittering jewels and jangling nerves
Opulent wealth, maybe some undeserved
With family, state and an audience
Of observers, obsessives and simply dense

(The politicians quietly plot
To multiply what they've already got
Under cover of patriotism
Lazily outlawing activism)

Well Norfolk did a bally good job
But poor old gullible gingerknob
Couldn't or didn't want to stay
For sausage fingers and 80 a day
