Pretty Clever

Pretty girls, everywhere,
They're all around but I'm unaware,
They laugh and clap without a care,
Me too, I'm unaware.

Skinny boys, everywhere,
They're chatty and chummy but I just stare,
Avoid the showers but long to share,
An idiot failing to dare.

Clever girls, everywhere,
They're all around but I only stare,
They smile and study and toss their hair,
I know only silent stare.

Friendly boys, everywhere,
They're smart and open but I just I just stare,
Avoid the bars but wonder what's there,
Too timid, too sober to dare.

Amazing girls, everywhere,
They're all around but I wouldn't dare,
Their confident fails brutally unfair,
One push, one pull, one rare.

Ginger boys, everywhere,
In offices, sites and even midair,
Aeronautical solitaire,
Suppressing every dare.

Awesome girls, everywhere,
In Glasgow, Muscat and under my hair,
So totally brilliant, way up there
But I have to try not to care.

Fantastic girls, everywhere,
Silent then deadly, dream then nightmare,
Distant then nearer, here then nowhere,
Cycling because but gasping for air.

Pretty boys, everywhere,
Illicit, mysterious, willing and bare,
Hot and close but diseased without care,
Sorry, I meant not to share.
