Watch your companion panting and howling;
Drink your eyes, mutually drowning
The not quite nothing over my head,
Inevitably returning to a not found bed;
Stroke your pumped cheeks with my creaking finger;
Disturb the perfect symmetry, hopefully linger;
Pluck the single glittering magic hair
For preservation in my no-one cares;
Condense my lust into electric torture;
Mime the biggest knife from the drawer
Sternly upwards for screaming relief,
Hugs or not: insane hope, no belief.
Scratch your thoughts from my aching chest,
To avoid inflicting any further test;
Shop for fake presents; use my backup face;
Stare downwards in the pillow just in case;
Beg the sea to come and rescue me,
Forgetting that the river captured me;
Dry off in the permanent nuclear fire;
Drop to your level on blue cheese wire;
Present all history in full colour fear;
Pick at friendly hints found carelessly near;
Sell limited portraits until they shatter
Against your floor with a public clatter.
