Withering, unfamiliar stares,
Stubbornly staring beyond tender care.
Raging ferocity punching through walls,
Fragile reality stumbling to fall.
Detailed designs arriving by train.
Annual remembrance leaving its stain.
Slippery sheeting beckoning on,
Glistening parapets waving beyond.
Requiem masses caressing the night,
Weakening twinkles snuffing their light.
Seasonal cuddles, warmed by their fate,
Seasonal shivers, frosted with wait.
Ignorance trespassing, opening your gate.
Acid emotion surpassed by black hate.
Swimming familiar rivers of salt,
Fearful of deltas where sinews grow taut,
Sweeping to oceans of uncharted depth,
Gulping survival with every last breath.
Sirens are pulling me over the side,
Giving me presents if I should decide
Flying is easy but falling more fun.
Soaring will only get burnt by the sun.
